A COCKERMOUTH man has been given a court order that bans him from contacting or “pestering” a woman.
Jamie Lee Lowther Barton, 33, of Kirkfell Avenue, was in court when magistrates approved the 28-day order. The application for the order was made by Cumbria Police and it includes all form of contact, including social media.
The defendant was told that he must pay the £500 costs of the application. It would be a criminal offence if the defendant breached the order.
