FIFTY jobs are to be created by a Cumbrian land and estate agents as they prepare to move into their new headquarters
PFK Land and Estate agents have submitted planning permission for their new headquarters in Mile Lane, Penrith as part of a £2 million investment.
The building has been designed with a focus on climate impact using a net-zero carbon approach for the company which was founded in 1876.
55 new jobs will be created in the company's new headquarters whilst another 50 will be made available as part of the nine-month construction phase.
Work on the 8,500 square-foot site is set to begin in 2023.

Speaking about the planned expansion into a new site, PFK managing director Andrew Green explained why the company is upgrading to an updated facility.
He said: "We’ve outgrown our current office accommodation at Skirsgill and by developing land already in the ownership of the Company allows us to continue to expand our Land Agency and Professional Services business into our own bespoke premises on Mile Lane.
PFK's new headquarters will also provide and oppurtunity for Penrith & District Farmers Mart to expand as well as offering similar openings for other small agriculture businesses, something Mr Green highlighted.
He said: "This will be of significant benefit to both businesses in supporting their continued growth and employment offer."
