CUMBRIAN businesses came together once more for the monthly in-Cumbria networking event at Carlisle's Halston Aparthotel.
Business representatives from around the county gathered for the event which celebrates all the best things about Cumbrian companies.
The event's partners were The Halston as well as Ulverston's Wolftown Spirits, with gin samples being provided to attendees by John McKeown
Hosted by Newsquest Cumbria, the evening highlighted five 'soapbox stars' who all introduced creative ways to talk about their companies in 90-second sessions. Joy Yates, Newsquest North Cumbria editor, said: "The feedback from our networking events continues to be fantastic and it's great to welcome newcomers as well as see those who have attended every month to date. The support is hugely appreciated. Our 'soapboxers' have been tremendous and a lot of effort has clearly gone into their individual, unique presentations."
Soapbox stars for this month included Zara Myers from Harness Change; Scott Reynolds from Lakeland Fleet Management; Mark Pannone and Zoe Billings from Adapt & Evolve Consultancy and Phil Leigh from Innovate UK EDGE.

Jenny Hanabury, business development manager at Local-iQ, said: "It's brilliant to see so many new and returning faces and receive such warm feedback from all of our attendees. The event is definitely becoming a firm fixture in people's social calendars, which we love to hear! We look forward to seeing everyone in early December."
The next in-Cumbria networking event will be taking place at the Halston Aparthotel in Carlisle on Monday December, 12.
Josh Holmes, Newsquest Cumbria's commercial head of digital, said: “It's such a fantastic evening meeting people from all kinds of business across our region.
"The soapbox talks are getting very creative with Mark and Zoe being our first double act and Scott delivering his presentation innovatively via a poem. I can’t wait to see the next set at the December event.”
