For this Nostalgia edition we will be taking you back to the year 1969.
1969 is definitely a year that will be going down in the history books it was the year that the Apollo 11 piloted by Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed on the moon.
It was also the year that the historic Woodstock music festival took place and The Beatles recorded Abbey Road, their final album together.
1969 also saw Richard Nixon become president of the United States and over in the UK the Isle of Wight Festival attracted around 150,000 people.
But what was happening here in Cumbria? Here at the News & Star we've compiled together some amazing photographs taken in our county that year.
We hope that you will enjoy looking back at these old photos just as much as we have.
Our first photo shows a student from the Carlisle College of Art and Design, Margaret Jones, studying the colours of the autumn leaves in the college’s grounds.
Whilst another photo shows Hayton WI golden jubilee party with another picture showing the harvest thanksgiving festival at Belle Vue primary school.
We can also see girls from the Carlisle and County High School who received prizes at the annual prizegiving in the Market Hall, Carlisle from guest speaker Dr K Gillow.
Our fifth photo shows Ron Lewis MP for Carlisle having a word with Mrs Nan Lawson of Stonegarth, Carlisle and Mrs Mary Grierson, of Harrison Street, Carlisle during a tour of Carrs of Carlisle Limited.
With our next photo showing Jane Darke of Eldon Drive, Carlisle who was crowned as Gala Queen at Harraby Carnival.
Our final photos show dancers at Harraby Carnival, competitors who took part in the Miss A B C Miners competition and pupils from Hethersgill School as they leave for their "sixpenny trip".
