CARLISLE City Council has announced the closure of a series of roads over the Remembrance weekend.
A number of events and services will take place between Friday, November 11 and Sunday, November 13 to commemorate Armistice day.
On Friday, between 10.45am and 12.00pm, Castle Street will be closed from its junction with St Mary's Gate to its junction with the Greenmarket.
On Sunday, there will be a number of road closures between 10.45am and 12.00pm.
The Eastbound and Westbound carriageways of the A595, 'Castle Way', will be closed from Carlisle Castle, directly across the carriageways to its junction with Castle Street.
In addition, Castle Street will also be closed on from its junction with Finkle Street and Annetwell Street to its junction with The Green Market.
Finkle Street and Annetwell Street will also be closed from their junctions with Castle Street.
