A train operator is not going to be running any trains this weekend because of strike action.
Northern is warning customers that this will affect all services on Saturday, November 26.
Customers are advised not to travel on this day at all on the railway as there will be major disruption across the wider network.
Tricia Williams, chief operating officer at Northern, said: “We’re sorry again for the significant disruption and inconvenience this action by ASLEF will cause our customers.
“We all want to see an end to this dispute and hope that a resolution can be found so that we can avoid more disruptive strikes in the future.”
Major services affecting North and West Cumbria include the Carlisle to Barrow-in-Furness/Preston services on the Cumbrian Coast Line, Carlisle to Leeds, and Carlisle to Newcastle.
Northern is the second largest train operator in the UK, operating nearly 2,000 services a day to more than 500 stations across the North of England.
