THREE local charities that help local children are set to benefit from the return of the Carlisle shop where people pay with kindness instead of cash.
The Kinder Shop, which was created by the Cumberland, will be open on Pasternoster Row, Carlisle for one day only, between 10 am and 4pm on Wednesday, November 30.
The shop will give customers the chance to walk away with items such as furnishings and toys by donating their time to children's charities.
In June this year, the shop popped up in Carlisle, Dumfries and Kendal, where it generated more than 1,000 volunteer hours for charities like the Carlisle Youth Zone.

Lyn Marriott of the Youth Zone expressed her delight at the shops return.
She said: "We appreciate people giving their time to make a difference to young people in Carlisle as it adds to our programme and the experiences we can offer young people."
Kelly Ashbridge, partnerships officer at The Cumberland also explained why the shop is making its return.
She said: "Almost as soon as we closed the doors on The Kinder Shop in June, people were asking us when it was coming back.
"So, we’re delighted to be able to bring people together again and support our fantastic children’s charities."
