All plays can go wrong, but these ladies have a special, but hilarious talent for steering to the far side of disaster.

It might be a recognisable production of A Christmas Carol if the Townswomen Guild ladies put aside their petty bickering and get on with the show. But that's not likely given the perpetual animosity between co-directors and stars Thelma Greenwood and Phoebe Reece.

In between falling scenery, malfunctioning props and frequently swapping roles, they battle through in this laugh out loud comedy that can be fun for all the family and will put a smile on everyone faces.

In a fateful twist, Cockermouth Amateur Dramatic Society (CADs) first performed this play in 1989 with Jill Roper playing Thelma, and here she is again reprising the role several years later.
