A FESTIVE-filled networking event was hosted in Carlisle by Newsquest Cumbria to thank businesses for their support.
The event held at The Halston hotel brought together businesses from across the county on Monday, December 12.
Newsquest Cumbria's Director of Sales, Emily Wood, said: "It’s always wonderful to see the vibrant and eclectic range of businesses we harbour in Cumbria.
"A brilliant way to end the year; we look forward to welcoming everyone back on the last Thursday in January.
"Next year - the year of our 100th edition of in-Cumbria magazine - will see some exciting new formats, partners and contributors, so please sign up early to secure your place."
This month's soapbox stars were Lancaster University business development officer, Thomas Walsh, Alldaybags owner Barbara Keen and author and singer Judith Cook.
Newsquest’s North Cumbria Editor, Joy Yates, said: “Our December event was lots of fun with a few additional festive twists. The Halston did us proud with delicious festive canapes and Annandale Distillery went down a storm with their whisky tasting and sample giveaways. We even had a short Abba singalong at the end before our team selfie.
"I’d like to take this opportunity to thank our Cumbria business community for its support of our in-Cumbria magazine and networking events and look forward to seeing everyone on January 26. Happy Christmas and here’s to a wonderful Cumbrian 2023.”
The fabulous Annandale Distillery Company Ltd. provided whisky samples for guests at the event.
Group Head of Marketing, PR and Training, Lee Medd, said: "It's been fantastic to be at this in-Cumbria networking event - the last one of 2022.
"It's been great for us to actually come over the border and engage with a whole new audience and actually put some faces and names together.
"It will certainly allow us to become more confident as we look to expand into new audiences in 2023."
