OFFICERS in north Cumbria have taken action to stop a Carlisle man’s criminal behaviour.

A five-year Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) was secured on December 19 at Carlisle’s Magistrates Court against Kane Queen, aged 29, of Lindisfarne Street, Carlisle - who was also sentenced on the same date to four weeks for shoplifting.

The CBO will require Queen not to enter any premises part of the Carlisle Shopwatch/Retailers against crime scheme;

  • Not to enter Morrison’s, Kingstown Road, Carlisle
  • Not to enter Sainsbury’s, Penrith
  • Not to enter Booths, Penrith

Problem Solver PC Heidi Underwood, said: “This Criminal Behaviour Order was a great outcome and is a useful tool to place restrictions on Queen to prevent further criminality and help protect business owners and local residents.

“I would encourage anyone who witnesses the terms of such a court order being broken to contact the police immediately.

"The punishment for breaking the terms of a CBO can be up to five years in prison.”

Anyone who witnesses Kane Queen breaching the terms of his CBO should contact the police.
