CARLISLE has been named in the top ten cities in the UK that are obsessed with Christmas.
In the new study, a number of categories were researched, including what the UK's most Googled Christmas questions were.
In the category labelled, 'Top 10 UK cities obsessed with tweeting about Christmas', Carlisle ranked fourth, only beaten by the social-media festive cheer in York, Lisburn and Southend-on-Sea.
The figures related to the number of tweets between the months of November and December in 2020 and 2021, that had been geo-tagged to a specific UK city.
The study also showed that 34 per cent of these tweets were positive, whilst 50 per cent were neutral and 16 per cent were negative.
The study by was conducted by Barratt Homes and was completed by collating figures collected by Brandwatch.
