Our readers have reacted to the revival of the French bar Le Gall after several years away.

Le Gall, which takes its influences from a French-style brasserie, has made its return to 7 Devonshire Street.

Owner Mike Hope, who owns the building, took on the lease again from the former occupants Maggie Elliot to bring back the bar.

Sharon Joy Reynolds said: "Happy memories of fabulous times here! Always loved the beautiful fresh flowers at the end of the bar!"

Mikey Davidson said: "Very brave opening a new bar at the minute, but good luck to him. Le Gall always was a decent place to go to."

Kate Joanne Budniak said: "The original Le Gall was somewhere special, subsequent tenants could never recreate that atmosphere! Welcome back Mike and best of luck!"

The business, at the moment, is currently only open at the weekends but are appealing for any potential staff to get in touch.

In line with the weekend work, Mike said the part-time positions would also be suitable for students.
