A TEN-week curfew has been handed to a 54-year-old Carlisle man who stole a £1,000 nail gun from a parked vehicle.
Anthony Sheckley committed the offence on November 14 in Carlisle, the city’s Rickergate court heard. The defendant, of Grange Road, Carlisle, entered a guilty plea to theft when he appeared at the city’s Rickergate court.
District Judge John Temperley gave the defendant a community order, which will run until February 23 of next year. Sheckley must also pay compensation of £800 to the owner of the nailgun that he stole.
The defendant must observe an overnight tagged curfew throughout the period of the community order, remaining at home between 7pm and 7am each day. Sheckley was represented by defence lawyer John Smith.
