RHEGED is set to celebrate UK printmaking at its new exhibition which begins on January 20.
This latest installation at Rheged has been curated by its gallery manager Claire Harrison and will celebrate printmakers and the diverse methods used in printmaking such as screen printing, linocut, woodcut and etching.
There will also be an emphasis on plant-based dyes and environmentally friendly printmaking as part of a special partnership with Madder Cutch & Co.
The exhibition will also focus on the impact of the Gunning press, which was created in 1980s, on the art form. Three of these presses will be on display.
Claire Harrison said: "We are excited to unveil this year’s collection of prints.
"The exhibition will house a wide range of printmaking techniques and supports the talent of printmakers from all over the UK.
"We have work from 12 Cumbrian printmakers including Polly Marix Evans, Sarah Cemmick and Robert Finch."
Entry to the exhibition is free and it will be open between 9am till 5.30pm from Friday, January 20 to Sunday, May 7.
