Police are investigating a racially-aggravated assault that happened this morning (January 4).
As part of their investigation, police are appealing for witnesses of the incident which happened between Ennerdale Avenue and Merith Avenue in Carlisle at 7am today.
A spokesperson from Cumbria police said: "A man was punched in the face by another man in an unprovoked assault.
"The victim suffered no injuries."
Officers are appealing for the public’s help in identifying the offender.
The offender is described as being 5ft 9, white, aged in his late 30s with short, light-coloured hair.
He was wearing a dark-coloured jumper and trousers.
