ONE of the largest community platforms in the south of Scotland will be presenting an immersive theatrical party experience - bringing with it a roster of great musical acts.

Big Burns Supper present ‘Le Haggis’, marking the first in-person festival events in three years accompanied by a brand-new soundtrack created by energetic trad folk group Ho-Ro and Dumfries Community Choir.

Dumfries’s Loreburn Hall opens its doors to the new alternative format which will run across four one-off ‘Le Haggis’ evening events on the January 13, 14, 20 and 21 for one umbrella ticket price as part of a revised format to the popular event.

Major musical acts such as funk and soul maestro, Craig Charles, Skerryvore, Colonel Mustard & the Djion 5 and The Bootleg Beatles will also join local musical talent in the line-ups.

Once the shows are over, the venue becomes a playground with audiences encouraged to dress to impress.

Family Editions of ‘Le Haggis’ will also be presented on January 15 and January 22 with a community cast of young and old as the festival returns to its original grass roots social ethos.

Graham Main, executive producer of Big Burns Supper, said: “With lockdown happening and with the cancellation of so many events last year due to the omicron virus taking hold, we haven’t seen our loyal Le Haggis audience in person since 2020.

"Our new alternative format for 2023 acts as both our recovery edition and as a love letter to them. We can’t wait to welcome them, and to welcome new lovers of all things big, bold and Burns, to these joyous and immersive events in the new year," he said.

Tickets are available now online from https://bigburnssupper.com/event/le-haggis/ or in person at the Creative Hub in the Loreburne Shopping Centre or by calling 01387 733717.
