CUMBRIA Libraries launch reading competition to promote a love of reading in the new year.
Cumbria County Council's Library Service's new 'Book Bingo' competition is free to enter and runs until March, 1 2023.
Winners can win one of six regional hampers that are filled with book-related gifts.
To enter the competition, participants need to read four books from a choice of eight different categories.
These categories include books set in Cumbria, books found on library displays and a variety of other options.
Once a book has been read, participants can tick of the relevant box on their bingo card which can be picked up at any Cumbria Library.
Cllr Deborah Earl, Cumbria County Council Cabinet Member for Public Health and Community Services said:
"I am thrilled to see Cumbria Library Service launching Book Bingo, a fun and engaging reading game for all ages.
“Encouraging a love of reading is so important, and this competition is a great way to do just that. The chance to win a hamper of book-related gifts is a fantastic incentive, and I encourage everyone in Cumbria to participate."
