CARLISLE is set to host a number of comics this spring at the Sands Centre and the Old Fire Station.
If you're looking for a laugh over the next few months, here is a round-up of all the comedians coming to Carlisle.
Roy Chubby Brown - January 7
After 50 years in showbiz, controversial comic Roy Chubby Brown will be bringing his particular brand of laughs to the Sands Centre. However, the Sands Centre warns that Roy's show is not for anyone that is 'easily offended' and is certainly for those over 18.
Paul Smith - January 13
Brennan Reece - January 26
Zoe Lyons - February 3
Zoe, a regular on BBC shows such as Have I Got News For You and QI, is bringing her 'Bald Ambition' to the Old Fire Station in which she is exploring her 'monumental midlife crisis'.
Sophie Duker - March 30
The 'sexy baby' from Taskmaster is bringing her new show 'Hag' to the Old Fire Station. Sophie was a nominee for the Best Newcomer at the Comedy Awards in 2019.
Frankie Boyle - April 21 - April 23
The Scottish comic, who was a staple on BBC's Mock the Week, and now fronts his own show, Frankie Boyle's New World Order, will be at the Sands Centre in April with his new show 'Lap of Shame'. In the promo for his latest show, Frankie says: "Buy a ticket, because by the time [it] arrives, the currency will be worthless and you and your neighbours part of a struggling militia that could probably use a few laughs"
Hal Cruttenden - April 30
Dara O Briain - May 11 - May 13
The Irish funnyman is best known for hosting BBC's Mock the Week and The Apprentice: You're Fired!, and will be bringing his new show 'So... Where Were We' to the Sands Centre. In the show, Dara will 'fire out the usual mix of stories, one-liners, audience messing and tripping over his words by talking too quickly because he's so giddy to be back in front of a crowd.'
