A Carlise company is preparing to teach their trade to the public by hosting candle making masterclass sessions for the first time.
The workshops, taking place on January 21 and 22, will allow a total of 20 people the opportunity to try their hand at pouring candles (accompanied by a glass of prosecco) - as well as giving them an exclusive look into behind-the-scenes operations at The Victorian Candle Co.
Owned by Carlisle-based brothers Aidan (25) and Ru (21) Blackett, the business has gone from strength to strength since its initial explosive growth during the 2020 lockdowns.
Ru oversees the careful production of every candle, and has poured over 100,000 alongside his small team since starting the company back in March 2019.
He said: “Our sessions are open to anyone who enjoys giving something new a go and would like to learn about the art of making candles.
“The handmade nature of our products is a huge part of what makes them special, and I look forward to seeing which fragrances and colours people enjoy using the most.
“We’ve been planning our workshops for a while and can’t wait to welcome you into the workshop!”
Tickets for the sessions (£35 each) are available to book online now.
