CHANNEL 4's George Clarke's Amazing Spaces which aired on Monday evening featured a Cumbrian caravan business.
Jones Caravans LTD consists of Jones Caravan Breakers and Jones Caravans Service and Repair Centre. The company is based in Prospect, just outside of Aspatria.
Jones Caravan Breakers is a caravan salvage recycling company specialising in the recovery and collections of end-of-life or uneconomical-to-repair touring caravans and static caravans.
The caravans are broken down to produce parts to which are then tested, graded and released back on to the second hand market.
The specialist company also dismantle and recycle static caravans, carrying out work for major holiday parks and private customers.
The production team at Plum Pictures and Jones Caravans had a chat about the removal of a caravan and arranged a pre-health and safety risk assessment visit to safely remove the caravan.
Natasha Jones, co-director at Jones Caravans said: "We have worked incredibly hard bringing in new ideas, expanding the business and diversifying to meet the demands of the ever changing leisure industry.
"When we received the email we initially thought it would be just be a case of carrying out our usual procedures of sorting the logistics and either removing the caravan to our facilities for disposal and recycling or dismantling it where it was.
"As the directors of Jones Caravans both myself and Gareth were incredibly honoured to be asked to feature in the series.
"Our team of professionals were rather excited but nervous; however they rose to the challenge and carried out the work to the exceptional standards we expect."
The caravan is one-of-a-kind, custom built for George Clarke, designed by William Hardie, it is the only one ever made. The business are now the owners of the caravan.
