CUMBRIA'S biggest HR company is looking to make Carlisle greener and cleaner.
Realise is planting a tree for every new client supported by its consultancy and recruitment services to help achieve its net-zero ambitions.
Breaking ground in June last year, the first tree was planted in honour of the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee and plans are afoot for an annual tree-planting event.
As part of the Realise Forest, the company is asking that other businesses get involved as part of its donate a tree initiative to help lower carbon emissions.
A spokesperson said: "We are really excited to see the Realise Forest take root - but it's not just about us.
"This is a community project and the children from Stanwix School and Carlisle Youth Zone will also be helping us to plant trees and wildflowers. Educating our children on protecting our planet is a major part of this project.
"Planting trees will not only help us all to tackle climate change, it will also support net-zero ambitions and keep businesses rooted within the local community."
Trees will be planted on February 14.
The HR company has partnered with Kingsmoor Park on the project.
Harvey Scowcroft, Kingmoor Park property manager, added: “Our ethos, through our sustainability initiative is to take steps to strive towards being a more sustainable and net zero emissions business park.
“We are pleased to see that Realise has got on board with our ethos and look forward to seeing their business and trees grow in harmony.”
