POLICE are investigating following reports that a man was in possession of a knife in a public place.
A man has been arrested in connection with the incident, said to have happened in the area of Netherby Road, Longtown, at about 3.30pm on January 15.
Nobody was hurt in the incident.
The arrested man, aged in his thirties, was arrested on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly and making threats to kill. He was later bailed pending further enquiries.
Officers would like to hear from any witnesses.
