Helen Housby and England’s netballers are now targeting victory against more of their biggest rivals after series success against Jamaica.
The Cumbrian star and her international team-mates are flying to South Africa which will see them take on the host nation plus world champions New Zealand and Commonwealth Games gold medallists Australia.
The Quad Series will see England aiming to wrest the title from Australia, who won in London last year.
The Cape Town event follows a 2-1 home series win over Jamaica’s Sunshine Girls which saw Housby, from Drumleaning near Wigton, play a prominent part for England’s Vitality Roses.
A 63-59 win in the decider secured the series.
The Quad Series comes six months before the World Cup is held in South Africa.
Fran Connolly, England Netball chief executive, said: "With the Netball World Cup edging closer and closer, this series is an opportunity for our Vitality Roses to lay down a marker before the summer and for our fans to see some of the best players in world netball.”
England take on Australia on Saturday, followed by meetings with South Africa on Sunday and New Zealand on Tuesday.
All the games will be shown on Sky Sports Mix, Sky Sports Arena and the Sky Sports YouTube Channel.
