IT HAS BEEN just over 24 hours since Carlisle United announced the homecoming of fan-favourite striker Joe Garner.
Garner joins the Blues on a deal which will keep him at the club until the end of the 2023/24 season.
After the announcement of Paul Simpson's fourth January signing, Carlisle supporters have been sharing their thoughts on the deal.
For Gary Sharman, the emojis were in full flow as he expressed his delight with the transfer.
He said: "Buzzing with this one... Great Signing. Up the foxy Blues."

David Pearson, whilst happy with the acquisition, was adamant that Carlisle need to also retain their star players before starting to dream of promotion.
He said: "If we keep this squad together we have very good chance of going up"
Twitter user 'spiderwebb' pointed to Garner's wealth of experience as the main reason why the move will come good.
He said: "Think he's going to be good for the dressing room in his experience and also I think he will bang some away"

Finally, Ross Parkinson, whilst remaining realistic, detailed what he believes Garner can bring to Simmo's side.
He said: "Good signing this. Not the prolific Garner that left us but an experienced player who’ll raise others around him and win loads of niggly free kicks to take the pressure off. Good fit with the rest of the team too."
