Lena Curry said: "Awful why and how could you do that. Shocking," while Jan Magnay added: "The thing to do is for the law to ensure they are never allowed to keep any animal again."
Emma Christopherson commented: "Absolutely disgusting. I'm glad the dog survived this horrendous life and is now in good hands. Poor thing."
Glenn OFee said: "Horrifying. That poor dog. Owners need to be jailed."
Victoria Louise said: "The judge said if he thought they had done it on purpose he would have sent them to prison? How do you accidentally not feed your animals?"
Yvonne Atkinson added: "Suspended sentence. What a joke."
Liz Laybourne replied: "I absolutely agree, as an animal lover and dog owner myself this totally disgusts me, a good jail sentence and a life time ban."
