THIS week we asked our readers what their favourite TV shows are currently, we had over 100 comments with readers listing their best watches.

Whether it be shows taking the country by storm currently, or people opting to watch a series later, we had many recommendations for the best of the TV guide.

1.) Happy Valley

The show that has hooked the nation once again is back this year for the final time, the Yorkshire-based crime drama centering on the personal and professional life of Police Sergeant Catherine Cawood, and the lifetime criminal Tommy Lee Royce is well loved by our readers. We had over 50 comments opting for Happy Valley as their favourite.

2.) Call the Midwife

This series showcases the chronicles the lives of a group of midwives living in East London in the late 1950s to late 1960s. The show is currently airing season 12 and is another fan favourite of our readers.

3.) Vera

This show is centeretd around DCI Vera Stanhope, who with her caustic wit and singular charm, leads her team as they face a series of captivating murder mysteries set against the breathtaking Northumberland landscape. The show started back in 2011 and is airing season 12 currently.

4.) The Last of us

The series new to 2023 starts after a global pandemic destroys civilization, a hardened survivor takes charge of a 14-year-old girl who may be humanity's last hope. The series starring Pedro Pasca has had raving reviews acheiving a 9.3 IMDB rating and a 97 per cent Rotten Tomato rating.

5.) Yellowstone

This show is based around a ranching family in Montana who faces off against others encroaching on their land. The show started in 2018 and whilst its atest series aired in November 2022, we still have readers catching up, yet enjoying the show.
