FIVE fire crews were called to tackle a garage and house fire near Sedbergham.
At around 4.45pm Sunday February 5, crews from Carlisle East, Carlisle West, and Wigton were mobilised to reports of a garage on fire, which had spread to the attached house, close to Sebergham.
Once in attendance, crews discovered a well developed fire involving the garage, and upstairs bedroom of the property.
Further appliances were requested, and Maryport and Penrith also attended.
The fire was brought under control by breathing apparatus wearers using hosereeels, and the fire was prevented from spreading to the rest of the house.
