AN APPLEBY nursery has been closed while it is under investigation following a visit from the education watchdog Ofsted.
Shining Stars Nursery will be closed until further notice, according to an email sent out to parents as seen by this newspaper.
The letter says it is with a 'heavy heart' that the nursery is closed and adds: "I know you have a lot of questions and as soon as I have answers we will let you know."

It is an offence to continue to provide daycare while under investigation by the watchdog.
A previous inspection rating from Ofsted rated the premises as 'good' back in January 2020.
At the time of inspection, the nursery was providing day care to 50 pupils, providing free early education for two, three and four-year-old children. Both Ofsted and Shining Stars Nursery have been approached for comment.
