COPELAND Council is inviting people to enjoy a scrumptious Mother’s Day afternoon tea at the historic Distington Walled Garden.
The council will be running the event in partnership with Lakes College, on Saturday, March 18, and will be offering two sittings 12.30-2pm and 2.30-4pm.
It will be held in the soon to be open café in the garden bungalow.
Guests can enjoy a tasty afternoon tea and a manicure for £25 (or £20 without the nail care).
The manicure will be provided by beauty students from the college, and the afternoon tea will be supported by catering students.
Mike Starkie, mayor of Copeland, said: “We’ll be opening the new café next month, and the Mother’s Day event will be a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the Victorian garden and sample some of our fine food.
“The peaceful surroundings are the perfect environment to celebrate the day with loved ones. We’d advise people to book quickly as our events are always incredibly popular and places are limited.”
