A MAN has died following a house fire in Carlisle yesterday afternoon - with the fire service saying a full investigation will now begin into the 'tragic incident'.
At 3.05pm yesterday Thursday, February 16 Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service crews were mobilised to reports of a house fire on Buchanan Road, Carlisle.
A spokesman for Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service said: "Sadly, we can confirm the death of a man at the property.

"Alongside Cumbria Police, a full fire investigation is now underway to determine the cause of the incident.
"This is an extremely tragic incident and our thoughts are with the man’s family and friends during this difficult time."
