A CUMBRIAN children's hospice has thanked Cumbria Police for a donation of over £16,000 to Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw.
Cumbria's Chief Constable Michelle Skeer had the honour of donating £16,265.47 to Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw today, raised by officers and staff.
The children’s hospice needs more than £2,000 a day to run an incredible service helping local children and families through unimaginably difficult times.

Julie Clayton, chief executive of Jigsaw, Cumbria's Children's Hospice, said: "Everyone at Jigsaw, Cumbria's Children's Hospice would like to say a huge thank you to the officers and staff from Cumbria Police who've raised an incredible amount of money, helping us to continue providing vital care to children and young people from across the county with life limiting illnesses.
"It was wonderful to be able to welcome Chief Constable Michelle Skeer to the hospice this week, the constabulary have supported us over many years, including helping us buy accessible play equipment to help our young people and their siblings play together.
"We are exceptionally grateful for their contributions."
