A YOUNG Workington entrepreneur has expanded her business, opening a ‘dream’ Barbie-themed salon in the heart of Workington.

The Dream House by Adele will officially open on the April 1 on South William Street, Workington, although Adele has been accepting regular clients for the last month.

The salon has been a dream of the 21-year-old’s since childhood, taking much inspiration from her mum and auntie.

She said: “Since I was a young girl, I’ve always wanted something of my own with my name on it.

"I grew up around both my mam and auntie who were both in the beauty industry which always inspired me to do the same after watching them succeed.

“Sometimes I can’t actually believe this is my life at the age of 21.”

Adele’s aim was to create the ‘most Instagrammable’ salon in the town – theming the space on the character Barbie.

She said: “My goal was to create the pinkest, girliest and most Instagramable salon.

"My previous salon being named the lash lounge by Adele, I decided to rebrand to fit more into my pink Barbie theme, when I then came up with The Dream House by Adele.

“It has been quite overwhelming going from the small space I had into this huge one, especially during such difficult times and the cost-of-living crisis, with many people doubting me along the way thinking I couldn’t do it.

“I’m so happy with the progress that’s been made and cannot wait to open our doors officially to everyone.”

Adele is expanding her team working alongside four ‘amazing girls’: Ellesha Bruce (Ellesha Danielle beauty), Carly Hewitt (Keke’s beauty), Keisha Stephenson (The Lash lab) and Angel Carr.

One of the main reasons for the move was due to her getting really busy with her accredited training courses.

Adele said: “A section of the salon has been designed to be used as a training academy to teach all of my amazing students.

"I feel like training courses was a gap in the market, as when I did my training course I had to travel to Blackpool.

“I know a lot of girls aren’t able to travel so I wanted to bring that to Workington and make it more accessible for everyone.”
