A NEW street food outlet serving grub from all around the world is set to offer a different type of lunch to the people of Carlisle

Cubanos Carlisle, located in The Clubhouse at Stoneyholme Golf Course, will be opening up on March 13 and is being brought to you by the same team behind The Dutch Uncle and Maggie Elliott & the Three Pillars - Sam Norman and partner Ashleigh Egan.

The lunch bonanza looks to adopt an ever-changing menu but will be specialising in Cubano sandwiches (having risen in popularity after being the focal point of Jon Favreau's film Chef); burgers; burritos; stews and curries.

Head chef Todd Elliot, who has been in the food game since leaving school, said: "We wanted to bring more street food options to Carlisle. Coming to the golf course, we've strayed away from that a bit so we're bringing it back.

"The idea is to offer some new options and completely different when it comes to lunches, we all find we're just eating Greggs and the likes, so it was to offer something new to what's about.

"There'll be a few staples but we're looking to change the menu quite frequently. We've got Cubanos (like seen in the Chef film), burritos, burgers, stews and curries - not your classic stews like your grandma used to make but from all over the world.

"We're just trying to be a bit different to everywhere else, it won't be just a burger for example, it'll be a bit special," he said.

Pre-orders can be up until 10.30am and it will be a first come first served basis after that.

The business will be catering to hungry mouths Monday to Friday.
