Organisers promoting healthy food and mental health on an activity open day hopes to inspire families.
SPARK, a special free event, as part of the Carlisle local cultural education partnership, is to be held at Inglewood Infant School on Sunday, March 12 between 2-4pm.
Families will be able to take part in fun activities including; storytelling, arts & crafts, a nature trail and hints and tips on how to make healthy food go further and more.
Anna Smalley Chair of SPARK says: “This will be our first public event as a partnership and we’re so excited to be able to offer such a wide range of free activities for local families!
"We want SPARK to support our children and young people to have pride in their city and build their resilience and positive mental health – we think that bringing partners together to deliver activities like this helps build that sense of connection and community.”
Deborah Boekestein, Headteacher of Inglewood Nursery and Infant School is also thrilled about the upcoming event and adds: "We are really excited to be hosting this SPARK event in our grounds.
"The activities look amazing and there should be something to inspire everyone. We are really pleased to be part of this partnership which aims to bring children, young people and their families together in new ways. We are planning for this to be the first of many events around the city. Enjoy the first of many SPARKs!"
