RENOWNED comedian and author Robin Ince sold-out Carlisle's well-loved Bookends with an evening full of 'inquisitive laughter'.
The presenter visited the bookshop and cafe on March 5 celebrating 'Bibliomaniac' - his book which documents his tour of bookshops and his profound love for them.
Owner Lucy Matthews said: "Robin choose a selection of books from our shop and essentially nattered about them.
"He has such an inquisitive and expansive mind and, as well as laughter, I think we all learned a thing or two as well!
"Thank you Robin - you really know your books and it was such a delight to host an event with you.
"Thanks to everyone who came along too - beautiful to see a sold-out event.
"We also have signed copies of Robin's books in stock now," she said.
The next guest on the line-up for Bookends is a home-grown talent and favourite, M W Craven.
Join the bestselling crime writer in conversation as he launches the first book in his new series, introducing lone wolf protagonist Ben Koenig, on June 29.
