THE A66 is closed in both directions due to heavy snowfall.
The road closure comes into place between the A685 at Brough, continuing until Scotch Corner.
For vehicles looking to travel across the Pennines, consider using the A69 or the M62.
Elsewhere, the road is also closed due to a crash near Keswick.
The closure takes place at Keswick Bypass Westbound between The Hawthorns and A591, Crossthwaite Roundabout.
This incident was first reported at 6.20am (March 10).
