LOOKING to fine-tune your acting skills? Well, Carlisle's Green Room Theatre will be hosting a series of monthly workshops with an experienced actor, director and drama teacher at the helm.
A course of six two-hour sessions will be led by Nigel Banks in the city's West Walls venue.
Nigel joined The Green Room Club in 2014 after moving to the Carlisle area from Kent.
Since then he has directed Someone To Watch Over Me by Frank McGuinness and God of Carnage by Yasmina Reza in the main theatre, as well as bar productions of two of his own original plays Wigs and Knickers and Institute, Destitute, Substitute.
He has directed everything from medieval mystery plays, Shakespeare, Jacobean revenge tragedies to adaptations of Dickens and Hardy, as well as modern plays by Pinter, Miller, O’Casey, Brian Friel, Sue Townsend, Neil Labute and Mark Ravenhill.
The course will cover various aspects of performance and will give participants the opportunity to improve their skills via a range of practical activities.
Places are limited to fifteen a session, so advance booking is advisable. Each session costs £5.
The first session beings on Sunday, April 16.
