A man is already planning his next fundraiser while resting from his challenge of a 70 mile walk.
Michael Wise, 39, is putting up his feet after his 70 mile hike from Carlisle to Gateshead's Millennium Bridge.
It took six days and so far he has raised £1390 for the mental health charity MIND.
Michael decided to take on the challenge spontaneously with only a few weeks of planning but wanted to raise awareness for mental health - something that is personal to Michael.
Throughout the days, Michael camped out in fields but had to stay in hotels around Northumberland when it was snowing or if there was heavy rain.
His stop-offs included Haltwhistle, Hexham, Wylam before making his way to the bridge over the River Tyne.
Reflecting on the fundraiser he said: "The whole experience has been both physically and mentally challenging but I've enjoyed every second of it.
"The support has been amazing the total is now at £1390.
"I am still available to take donations until the 31st of this month.
"My plans are to take a few months rest then because I've enjoyed the whole experience, I will be planning something again for mind in the summer."
