Organisers are celebrating the success of a charity event.

Rotary Club of Brampton & Longtown held its annual race night last month, where it was able to raise money for Jigsaw, Cumbria's Children's Hospice and The Green Door, a youth project that works in Brampton.

Reflecting on the evening, the member of the rotary said: "We held a very successful race night in Wetheral attended by many members and guests.

"Much fun was had by all and the event helped to raise funds for two local charities, Jigsaw and The Green Door.

"Jigsaw is a Children’s Hospice based in Carlisle who provide support to children and young adults with life limiting conditions throughout Cumbria.

"The Green Door Centre is an ecumenical youth project working across all areas in Brampton."

"The event included a pie and pea supper, prizes for race winners and additional prizes for the winning owners. The event raised an excess of £400 for each charity."
