THE M6 is fully reopened following yesterday's heavy goods vehicle fire on the Lancashire-Cumbria border.
National Highways have confirmed that the northbound exit slip road at Junction 36 has reopened after ongoing works through the night (March, 24).
The sliproad had to be resurfaced after yesterday's incident.

A statement from Lancashire Fire and Rescue said: "At 02:49 on the 23rd March 2023, two fire engines from Bolton le Sands, Carnforth and a fire engine from Milnthorpe along with the water bowser from Leyland attended a incident on the M6 North between Junction 35 and 36.
"One large vehicle was well alight when crews arrrived. Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire. Crews were in attendance for several hour," they said.
