A road will remain partly closed for three days while roadworks are carried out.

In a notice posted today (April 5) section of the C3052 near Newby, Penrith, will be closed between 8am and 4pm today up to and including April 7.

This part of the road is closed so that ‘carriageway patching’ and then ‘surface dressing’ can be carried out.

Highways recommend an alternative route in the meantime – via the unrestricted sections of the C3052, A6, C3053, and C3055.

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained, Highways said.
