Drivers have been urged to be careful on the roads and when out and about due to fallen trees.
Due to the weather conditions yesterday evening and through night trees have fallen over around the county.
A spokesperson from Cumbria Police said: "Cumbria Police are getting numerous reports from around the county of fallen trees, damage and debris due to high winds.
"If you need to make essential journeys please stay alert and take care."
