Oak Tree Animals' Charity have released their latest 'pets of the week'.

Tilly:

Tilly is our 7 year old mare who is looking for an experienced home as a companion.

Tilly is great to catch and easy to lead. She enjoys attention and is good to groom all over her body and head and we are currently developing her confidence when having her feathers brushed.

She is good to pick up all four feet and is good for the farrier. Tilly, like lots of us, isn’t a fan of needles and is a bit vet shy.

She is currently working on this but will need her rehomer to continue the training.

Tilly can live with mares or geldings as she gets on with everyone! She is happy to live out 24/7 with a shelter but will need to have restricted grazing in the summer as she maintains/gains weight well.

Tilly would need a home with an experienced and confident handler because she can rear if she feels uncomfortable. Her rehomer will need to be able to give Tilly the ongoing training she needs to build up her confidence with the vet.

Due to conformational issues, Tilly is not suitable to be ridden and must be rehomed as a companion only.

Albus:

Albus is a special boy looking for a special home. He is an affectionate cat and loves to be held like a baby. He would like an owner who is around most of the time as he is a very sociable cat.

We have worked alongside his owners to help him feel more settled but we have determined that Albus can only be rehomed in a home where he is the only pet and without young children. However, he would be fine with visiting children now and then.

Due to not having 100% vision or hearing, which we believe is down to his breeding, Albus will need a secure garden or catio as he does enjoy spending time outdoors.

Albus is being rehomed through our Home 2 Home scheme as he does not like confined spaces (like a cattery) so anyone interested in adopting him must take this into consideration for any holidays etc.
