WARDS and departments across the NHS in north Cumbria are preparing to celebrate the upcoming Coronation on May 6.
Catering colleagues across acute and community hospitals are arranging for afternoon teas to be made available for in-patients and arrangements are being made for patients to watch the celebrations on TV.
Staff are also planning their celebrations, with decorations popping up across departments and wards and some staff have been lucky enough to secure tickets from the ballot to attend.

Kevin Harrow, matron at the Cumberland Infirmary, has been lucky enough to be allocated tickets for the NHS/military stand outside of Buckingham palace.
The Trust’s chaplaincy team is also marking the occasion. Hospital chaplain Ian Newton said: “On the Sunday of the Coronation Weekend at 2.30pm there will be a special service in the Cumberland Infirmary Chapel including a Celebration of the Coronation of King Charles III.
"Patients, staff and relatives are invited to attend."
