An outdoor coronation screening has been cancelled because of the weather.
Keswick Town Council said it cancelled their planned outdoor screening of the king’s coronation this weekend as heavy rain and thunder has been forecast.
A spokesperson from the council said: “We have been working closely with the company providing the equipment, and have decided that it is best not to go ahead on Saturday.
“However, people can still watch the coronation together, as the Keswick Alhambra Cinema have very kindly offered to show the coronation in the cinema for free.
“Doors will be open from 10:30am to see the procession, with the ceremony starting at 11am, and people will be able to watch until the ceremony is over at 1pm.
“Tea and coffee and snacks will be available at the cinema.
“Many thanks to the Alhambra Cinema for ensuring that the people of Keswick can gather together to watch this momentous occasion.”
