A CARLISLE STREET will be closed for several days while essential work is carried out.
Cumberland Council said residents and businesses should be aware of roadworks affecting Eden Street in Carlisle.
The work will begin tomorrow (May 9) and finish on May 12, weather permitting.
A full road closure will be in place in two phases.
The first phase is from Etterby Street to the doctors on Eden Street, from May 9 to 10.
The second phase is from the doctors on Eden Street to Scotland Road, from May 11 to 12.
A spokesperson from Cumberland Council said: “Work will take place between 8am and 4pm daily.
“There will be some disruption in parking, therefore residents are encouraged to find alternative parking options.
“Residents who need access to their properties during work hours can contact the Traffic Marshalls onsite.
“Alternatively, people can contact the Highways Hotline on 0300 373 3736.
“Cumberland Council wishes to thank the community for their continued support and patience while improvements are made to the highway network and apologises for any inconvenience and disruption caused.”
