A train operator has confirmed its timetable will run as normal while planned strike action takes place.
ScotRail, which runs services from Carlisle to Scotland, said its full timetable will operate as normal on May 12 and 13, when members of two rail trade unions, ASLEF and RMT, take part in planned strike action.
David Simpson, ScotRail’s service delivery director, said: “No ScotRail services will be affected by this week’s upcoming strike action.
“The dispute between the trade unions and other train operators does not involve any ScotRail staff.”
