A SOUTH Cumbrian man has admitted possessing extreme pornography – including an image which portrays a person sexually interfering with a corpse.
Jake Stewart, 26, entered guilty pleas to the three allegations he is facing when he appeared before a judge at Carlisle Crown Court.
One of the charges relates to a person performing a sex act with a live animal another portrays pornographic images which were deemed likely to result in serious injury to a person’s private parts.
All three offences were committed on September 3, 2021.
According to court papers, the charge relating to the corpse states that the image portrays the sexual interference with the corpse in 'an explicit and realistic way' such that a reasonable person would regard the image to be real.
After brief legal discussions, the judge in the case, His Honour Judge Nicholas Barker, adjourned sentence until June 13 after background reports are prepared. The defendant, of Anchorite Road, Kendal, was granted bail in the meantime.
