WORKERS at Sellafield have mistakenly been paid extra money as part of their bonus payment.
For their bonus payments for 2022/2023, workers received an overpayment of nearly £200 each.
Sellafield Ltd has today confirmed the error.
A Sellafield spokesman said: “We can confirm an error has been made in the Sellafield bonus payments for 2022/23, which has resulted in an overpayment to employees of less than £200 per person in our May payroll.
“We are currently assessing the situation and may deduct the amount from future salaries.
"A review is being undertaken to prevent this from happening in the future.”
