THERE are a number of people are are still missing in Cumbria after they vanished without a trace a number of years ago.
The charity and website, Missing People, keeps a list of people from all over the UK who disappeared and are still considered a missing person by police. They are organised into areas of the UK, with Cumbria part of the North West.
The Missing People website has a 24-hour helpline providing emotional support and they also encourage all of the missing people to get in touch.
Some of these people went missing in the last couple of years but some date back more than 27-years-ago.
Here are the details of the cases involving people from Cumbria:
Leanne Smith
Leanne Smith was 39 when she went missing September 15 in 2019. Leanne was last seen leaving her home in the Woodhouse area of Whitehaven at about 6pm on September 15, 2019.
Cumbria Police officers have carried out extensive searches but she is still missing.

Glenn Dawes
Glenn Dawes was 65 when he went missing on November 22, 2017 from Carlisle.
Glenn was last seen at his home address on Ashness Drive, Carlisle, on November 22, 2017.

Lewis Norton
Lewis Norton was 44 when he went missing on September 12, 2017 from Carlisle.
Police say Lewis was last seen on Castle Street in Carlisle.

Mark Coulthard
Mark Coulthard was 22 when he went missing on August 31, 2006 from Carlisle.

Anthony Bond
Anthony Bond was 40 when he went missing on November 9, 2012 from Barrow.
Anthony was last seen late on the evening of Friday, November 9, 2012, in Schneider Road close to The Tally Ho pub in Barrow.

Marcus Rigby
Marcus Rigby was 27 when he went missing, over 28 years ago on April 17, 1995
Missing from: Grange-Over-Sands, Cumbria
The last confirmed sighting of Marcus was six months after he disappeared at a Bed and Breakfast in Portland, near Weymouth in Dorset. The family has its own Facebook page dedicated to finding him.
